This moniter has a great picture and it is very slim. The colors on this moniter are so much clearer then my old flat screen monitor. The 19" display is a great size. Not to big, not to small. I highy recommend this monitor.

Planar PL1910M-BK 19-Inch Digital/Analog LCD Monitor with Speakers (Black) Review

I have the earlier reincarnation of this monitor PL-190M which I have had for about 2 years. I bought it when LCDs used to be very expensive. Mine has not a single bad pixel and I am very happy with it. The response time is one of the fastest. The screen could be a little brighter. What's amazing to me is that despite the fall in prices Planar is continuing to offer a 3-year warranty and free 2-day advance replacement warranty for 3 years. Moreover they'd also replace your monitor if you had more than 3 bad pixels. AFAIK no one else even comes close to Planar's warranty. I haven't used the speakers so I cannot say anything about their quality. I'd buy a Planar monitor in a heart beat.

Samsung SyncMaster 941BW 19-inch LCD Monitor - Black Review

This monitor is an absolutely incredible value for the price.Cheap, great picture, top notch color, all the quality and speed you'd expect from a Samsung LCD monitor, and a really attractive design that looks great on your desk.

My only hesitation is that I think the ideal wide screen monitor is a couple inches larger than this (I use a 22" widescreen at work), but I just couldn't resist the price of this beauty when replacing my NEC MultiSync 17" CRT monitor at home (which was a very good monitor as well in it's day with great color).

You'll definitely want to drop the brightness level on this Samsung though as the default factory setting is pretty hard on the eyes.

I'm using the DVI connection and recommend you do the same if at all possible - DVI really helps sharpen up LCD's.

If your wallet is feeling a little thick lately, I'd get Samsung's 22", but otherwise you'll still be thrilled with this monitor.

ViewSonic VG1930wm 19-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Review

Excellent picture at a great price. The screen brightness is awesome. I love the flexibility of the stand height, swivel and tilt adjustments. The only downfall is the integrated speakers. I ended up turning them off since they were barely audible. The computer's mono speaker was 15 times louder. For stereo quality sound, I definitely would plan on using external speaker system. ViewSonic should not even bother putting speakers in the unit.

ViewSonic VX1932wm-LED 19-Inch WLED-Backlit Energy Efficient LCD Monitor Review

My 19-inch Hyundai monitor died last week after four years (failed circuit board - not economical to repair), so I needed a replacement. The old monitor was SXGA (1280x1024), and I was hoping to move up to HD (1920x1080).However, my graphics chips won't support HD resolution, and my power supply won't support a new graphics card.So I confined my search to SXGA-class monitors. This one caught my eye, mostly because of the LED backlight (no CCFL to burn out) and claimed energy efficiency (15 watts, compared to 45 watts for the deceased Hyundai). It's not exactly SXGA, being slightly wider and shorter (1440x900).The total pixel count is about 1% less than SXGA, so I didn't think I'd be sacrificing much. Now that I have the monitor, I must say that I'm not sacrificing anything. The screen is much brighter and clearer than the old one, and when the monitor wakes up there's no warm-up time (CCFLs normally take a couple of minutes to get up to full brightness).Colors are vivid, and whites seem more white than with CCFL.I wanted to verify the power consumption, so I tested it with my Kill-A-Watt meter. It registered 14 watts - even better than the manufacturer's claims.I can't vouch for the quality of the internal speakers, as I use external speakers. But as a monitor I give it highest marks.

HP 2009M 20-Inch HD LCD Monitor Review

This monitor has a great picture and works flawlessly with my MacBook. The 16:9 aspect is perfect for watching DVDs and hulu.com. The design is slick and modern, and the glossy screen is vibrant. For under $150.00 how can you go wrong?

The built in speakers are a little quiet, but better than my notebook's built in speakers.

When connecting with a Mac, I recommend turning the monitor's auto sleep function off, as it would sleep before I could get my Mac to output video.
