Acer P191Wbd - LCD display - TFT - 19" - widescreen - 1440 x 900 / 75 Hz - 300 cd/m2 - 2000:1 - 5 ms - 0.284 mm - DVI-D, VGA - glossy black Review

I wanted to upgrade my old 15" Viewsonic monitor to something larger, and saw this Acer 19" monitor on the web.I was unfamiliar with Acer products, but the price was great, so I decided to give it a try.I'm so glad I bought this monitor!
Right out of the box, the first thing you notice is it's design. It has a nice, glossy black frame around the screen, and a silver base shaped like an inverted V.All of the controls are easily accessible at the bottom front of the screen. The power button glows blue when the monitor is on and orange when in standby mode.
Acer includes an eDisplay Management software program which will allow you to tweak the display settings to your liking, and to quickly change between any of 5 display modes:standard, text, graphics, movie or user defined.
I've been using this monitor for over 2 months now and the only downside I've found is that it is very bright using the factory default settings.
I love the fact that this is a widescreen monitor; DVD movies in widescreen format look great, and I can leave the Google or Yahoo widgets up at the right side of the screen and still have plenty of viewing space for my internet browser.I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment about using this monitor for computer games.
If you're looking for a quality 19" monitor at a great price, give this one a try!

HYUNDAI 19-Inch WD 5MS/SPK/BLK/DVI LCD Monitor Review

Most people don't think of Hyundai when shopping for a Mointor, and neither did I. However, the price was pretty irresitible and, I'm glad I took a chance. This Monitor is well-made and set up could not have been easier. It is automatically adjusted to the output of my video card as soon as I plugged it in. Most people who have seen it in my office are pretty amazed at how little it cost.

Planar PL1700 17-Inch LCD Monitor with Thin Bezel (Black) Review

If you will use this monitor for many hours per day or you need a monitor that will have an excellent color rendition, then you may wish to look elsewhere. Text is not pin-prick sharp - certainly compared to my other LCD screen (Sharp 19") and colours are not even across the screen.

HOWEVER, for occassional, non-critical use, I find this monitor to be a GOOD choice blending very good value with good looks and acceptable performance.

Would I buy another one just like it? Probably not - but I am not unhappy with having bought it.

NEC MultiSync LCD1860NX - LCD display - TFT - 18.1" - 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz - 200 cd/m2 - 350:1 - 30 ms - 0.28 mm - DVI-D - black Review

The monitor came before my computer and I couldn't wait to see it in action. When it first came out of the box, I never imagined it was going to be that light. Once it hooked up to my computer (HP Custom Built) it came to life and provided some serious display for my eyes to taste. Impressive, clear, smooth, great color, and it saves so much space... get rid of your old CRT (Cathode Ray Tube -- Old Computer Monitor) and buy this one. It is worth it.

V7 D1711-N6 17-Inch 1280x1024 800:1 LCD Monitor (Black) Review

The monitor has crisp and bright imagery with very good response time. The auto mode setup used is sufficient for my needs. Time will tell if it has durability. The price was average to good. The 4:3 form factor was chosen for document reading and a good enough compromise for video.

Samsung SyncMaster 740N 17-inch LCD Monitor Review

I looked online for a few days looking for the absolute best deal on LCD screen monitors. I was tempted to get a "generic" brand for less, because they had somewhat good customer reviews, but this monitor from Samsung just kept calling my name... I searched many sites trying to find consumer reviews before buying, but I couldn't manage to find any. Regardless, I decided to go ahead and purchase this from Amazon, knowing that I have the option to return it in case it wasn't up to my expectations.

What can I say... I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it and got it set up and running. No dead pixels whatsoever, the screen is very bright, but not tiring on the eyes, the resolution is great, the weight and size are perfect, it is exactly what I was looking for! The 17" screen is also just perfect, not too small, not too big, just right!

I do highly recommend this monitor. I wanted to post this review for buyers out there considering purchasing it, but passing it because of lack of reviews: Buy it! - You won't be disappointed!
