I read several reviews on several sites about Hannspree monitors, generally, and about this monitor specifically.Everything I read (except for the very few, seemingly obligatory, reviews about any product that say it's the worst piece of electronics ever sold no matter how many other glowing reviews there are) indicated that the monitor was good equipment and that people were happy with their purchases.
I got my for $130.99 with no shipping cost through an Amazon affiliated seller, so it was a good price. The monitor was very plug and play.It has a great, bright picture, and no dead pixels. The only complaint is that the speakers, in my particular monitor, at least, give very tinny sound.Fortunately I rarely need speakers, and these allowed me to clear room on my desk by getting rid of my stand-alone speakers.
Since I don't care about the speakers, and I was looking for the increasingly rare normal aspect ratio monitor (the monitor is used primarily for word processing), I am very happy with the purchase (and it is gloriously better than the 7 or 8 year old 17" CRT monitor that it replaced).
